These posters, designed by Patrick Smith, are minimalistic in style but convey and interesting and powerful message. They illustrate a number of different mental illnesses and how they affect a person. These posters are inspiring to me as the artist captures a lot of deep and meaningful feelings within simple shapes and colours. In each poster, he uses squares, circles and lines to accurately describe to someone how mental illness affect everyday people. I want to reflect this minimalistic style in my posters, to convey my message in a similar way Smith does and make people think about what it is the poster is telling them and put them in someone else’s shoes.
